Description
This interesting looking building is the weather station in Hatteras on the Outer Banks of North Carolina. Among its more notable history, the Hatteras Weather Station was one of the first locations to receive the distress signal from the Titanic that they had struck an iceberg. Located not far from the ferry landing to Ocracoke. The grass was pretty dry on the day I visited and took the photo I used as a reference to paint this; I think it was winter and the green trees are evergreen varieties.
